Getting Emails For All Comment Likes

    Can someone please look into why I’m getting email notifications every single time someone LIKES a post. Is there a way to turn this annoying feature off? There doesn’t seem to be an option for it in the Discussion settings. It only gives an option to uncheck if someone LIKES A POST, but I don’t see anything to uncheck for LIKES A COMMENT. Where would I find this so I can disable it? Thanks for any help.

    Hello,
    When your getting tons of emails for likes it can definitely be overwhelming! Here’s what you do, You will go into your Dashboard > Settings > Discussion, in bold on the left hand side of the screen it will say “Email me whenever” and next to that will be the different options. It’s easy to pass up, I’ve overlooked it tons of times. You will just want to uncheck the box next to “someone likes my posts” and any others that you would like turned off.

      That’s not the problem. I don’t have that box checked at all. That box is for LIKING the POSTS. I get emails just because someone else LIKES my COMMENTS I’m making. Comments and Posts are two different things. I’m not sure what to do next for this. But thanks.

      Hi there! You’re right. There is not a separate setting for comment likes compared to post likes. Sorry about that!

      I just looked at your comments from your most recent post and did not see an option to even like comments. Did you turn comment likes off and you’re still getting emails?
