Getting Emails for Deleted Sites
-
From a previous support post:
I have several self-hosted sites that were hooked to Jetpack. The sites were deleted before first disconnecting so now I’m getting emails about them being down (and oddly enough them coming back up which is weird since they don’t exist anymore).
I looked it my WordPress.com account and it shows my old number of sites still but they are not in there to disconnect the monitoring. Do I need to send a private message with a list of all the domains to be disconnected?
********This is the EXACT same problem I have. How do I disconnect? Happening with two sites, and it’s happening over and over and over—emails everyday, all day!

Hi there, are you using jetpack monitor on your active standalone WP site? Have you looked at the jetpack monitor support documentation? https://jetpack.com/support/monitor/
If your site is no longer online and you want to disconnect jetpack, try the instructions in this support guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/disconnect-jetpack-sites/
If you have other questions about jetpack, you can also post to the support forum at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack

Hi there, since you mentioned that you deleted these sites before disconnecting jetpack try the instrucuions here
https://en.support.wordpress.com/disconnect-jetpack-sites/ If you’re still having trouble with this please return to this thread and list the sites involved.
@staartmees -It is always better to develop your own support style and voice but if you quote someone else’s forum replies please link back to the thread you copied from. Thanks. -
Yeah, those work IF the site is still listed in WP.com. (They are standalone sites.) Now, they no longer appear in WP.com and therefore, there is no way to disconnect them.

Hi jpreston1235,
I looked it my WordPress.com account and it shows my old number of sites still but they are not in there to disconnect the monitoring.
Neither of the sites you mentioned are connected to the jpreston1235 account you are contacting us from — those Jetpack connections are owned by another account.
Which username are you logged in with when the sites appear in your account? You can double check that on your Account Settings page. If you login to that account and reply here, I can try disconnecting them from our side.
Just let me know and we can go from there.

Will do this today. That account is mine as well. Been attempting to delete it, but there is no way to do so.

my old email address is long gone and not the address of record for my blog, I tried to just start a new blog but would need a new email address, so my blog benclaassenspeaks is effectively frozen there must be some way for wordpress to send me a password to end the freeze, getting a second email address for a new blog name is dumb I have a string of past emails to support that did not solve my problem

Hi benclaassen,
Please start a new thread for your question and tag it with modlook so a member of staff can look at your options.
Thanks!
