Getting ‘ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH’ errors for my WP site — what do I do?

    Hello,
I’m a volunteer parent trying to help manage the website for the Boy Scout Troop. It has suddenly become unavailable, displaying a ‘ERR_SSL_VERSION’ error. I can’t access it and can’t access the ‘admin’ portal for it. What do I do??

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The website is *NOT* a blog, but …

    Troop840.com

    Hi there:

We are unable to help because we don’t host your site Troop840.com directly on our WordPress.com managed hosting. Instead, your site is hosted with a different provider on a separate host, and we’re unable to provide support. But I can get you pointed in the right direction.

The good news is that because your host uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform (which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com), help is available at the community forums here:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/

The folks in the open-source forum are more familiar with these issues and are in the best position to help.

I hope this points you in the right direction.
