Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your
PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP

    Hi there,

The change you were making was going to cause a fatal error that would break the site, so WordPress prevented that change from being saved.

This is usually caused by incorrectly editing PHP files in the WordPress editor.

If you need support for modifying PHP or JS on self-hosted site, please post your questions in the WordPress.org support forum:

    https://wordpress.org/support

The forum you’ve posted this question in only provides support for sites hosted on the servers here at WordPress.com. As your site is not hosted here, we’re unable to provide support for it.

If you’d like to learn more about the differences between WordPress.com (the hosted service) and WordPress.org (the software), please see this guide:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    I hope this helps :)
