Getting exposure/visibility for the site – SEO?

I have been written by someone that my site is good but has poor SEO. What is this. The other question is I try to get exposure for the site but I’m not quite sure how to improve this other than through twitter etc.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Who wrote and gave you that information? Was it someone trying to sell you SEO services? If so, just ignore it. That is just spam that is send out by the millions. Everyone who has ever registered a domain has probably gotten that email.
