Getting flooded with emails when someone likes a comment I write on someone else's blog

I would like to shut off e-mail notifications of people ‘liking’ my comments on someone else’s blog.
I would also like to start receiving notifications of people actually writing a reply to my comment on someone else’s blog.
Right now, I miss substantive responses to what I wrote (which I might want to reply to in turn), but I am getting buried in emails that someone just hit the little star. This is exactly backwards from something useful; I want to respond to people who put some thought into some response.
