Getting follow button to recognize Jetpack-powered self-hosted site?

  So, my self-hosted site (tomshakely.com) has Jetpack enabled, but when I try to create the embeddable blue “Follow” button via the link below I just get the error message that I pasted below. I tried de-activating Jetpack and re-enabling. Can anyone provide guidance? Is there a setting I should change? Something deeper wrong?

  Error: “Please check you’ve entered the address of a WordPress.com or Jetpack-powered site and try again.”

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  By the way, I posted purposefully here because this seems slightly more like a WordPress/Jetpack related issue, rather than a self-hosted site issue.
