Getting front page to display blog post summary rather than full text?

How can I get my front page to display a summary of each blog post, rather than the full post (as it is currently)?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Here’s a link to a list of active themes which show post excerpts on the front page: excerpt themes.

You can use More tags on any theme.

Note that the list is incomplete: (now) there are more themes with post excerpts.

I had the same question?

Instead of displaying the entire post, how can I display the title only?
Is this only available for certain themes?

I would prefer having the title instead of long posts?

Put a more tag at the top of the post content.
