Getting help from WordPress
-
Im disappointed that wordpress offers no email or phone support while basically saying these forums are the best and only option for any help. I posted a very important question three days ago and I cant expect people to care enough to lead me to the answer. So now I’m asking again hoping a wordpress staff member can assist. I really wish email and phone support would be available. It sure should be.
Please answer question below.
I registered my domain through wordpress.com a long time ago and now its been expired. I want to register this old domain name somewhere else. But it isn’t available so I’m wondering what I need to do to use my old domain. Please advise.

See here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/domain-transfer-for-expired-domain?replies=2#post-2601491 and note that thread is tagged for Staff help.
There is no phone support. For all the support options when you have technical support issues see https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/
Those who have a paid upgrade use the “Contact Support” form, http://support.wordpress.com/contact/ where they will receive a choice of having staff answer your question publicly or privately.
The best contact form to use now is:
http://wordpress.com/help/contact
Live chat will be available there if we have Happiness Engineers available to chat. When they are not available using that link results in posting to this peer support forum.re: direct email support
Also note, that you can email Staff at:
support@wordpress.com
or
help@wordpress.com
