Getting informed of replies on my comments

Hi. There’s a site I follow: http://www.thebooksatchel.com/ whose posts I get in my mail. But I never get the author’s replies to my comments in my mail, as happens for every other blog I follow. :( It is a unique case. Anything I can do? (I’ve already checked my suscription management and all seems ok. Thank you for your help.

On which sites are you getting email notifications for replies to your comments?
We don’t send notification emails for comment replies if you leave a comment on someone else’s site. Only the owner of a site or the author of a post gets email notifications for comments. You can get email notifications for comment likes you receive on other sites, and I see we’ve sent you several of those, but not for comment replies.
If you want an email for comment replies on a site you don’t own, you need to subscribe to comments on the particular post, but that will send you an email for every new comment, not just replies to your own comments.

Hi. You are absolutely right. I only get email replies on my blog. My bad.
I do get replies on WP to all the comments I make on all blogs except this one. Top right corner with a bell.
But I never get replies to my comments from that blog in my notifications. Weird. I’ve commented with the blogger, and her other followers don’t have that problem. Any theory? thanks for your time. Brian -
That site is a self-hosted WordPress site, but they use Jetpack comments so you should be getting notifications. Are you logged into your WordPress.com account, and does the comment box show you’re commenting as equinoxio21 when you comment there? Or do you fill out a name and email each time you comment?
Do you have third party cookies enabled in your browser? If not, we might not be able to track your login to that site to connect the comment replies to your account. If you do have cookies enabled, please try clearing them completely from your browser. A cookie might have gone stale, preventing it from working correctly.

I cleared all cookies, made a test comment on that blog, and got a reply back in my reader. Perfect.
