getting into my hacked website to retrieve some pages- its offline- but I cant get in

HI< my wordpress site was hacked. My coder tried to remove hacked codes, was worse than he hoped and said I need a new site. That part is ok. Problem is I asked my host, to disconnect site from internet but keep it in their system so I can explore, as I recreate a new site. They assured me I can look in edit mode as see what I need. We cant get in, over 2 hours on phone with host. They tried everything, changing passwords etc. Its locking me out. They then tell me to contact wordpress. My new site will be Divi and I changed hosts. But I need a genius to help me get into to view the site. and If I can get in, remove codes of my blog, (so I can hold on to followers) is that code infected, same as visurs..could it harm my new site? If yes, im done, ill just delete it and move on. THANK YOU
