getting my CNAME to work
-
I am new to all of this website stuff, so bear with me. I bought my website/hosting from wordpress and am trying to add email through Network solutions. they told me that i have to add 3 records: 1 mx record and 2 CNAME records. After reading and re-reading all of the support information on this website, I entered the records and still cannot get it to work. I think i fixed the mx record, i just need help with the cname. I have entered the records that I got from Network Solutions exactly as I got them, but they still dont work. The guy from network solutions said that he couldnt help me because he wasnt sure how wordpress worked in this capacity.
this is how I entered them– can someone tell me what is wrong?
MX 10 INBOUND.NOTJUSTBROCCOLI.COM.NETSOLMAIL.NET.
CNAME MAIL.NOTJUSTBROCCOLI.COM MAIL.NOTJUSTBROCCOLI.COM.NETSOLMAIL.NET.
CNAME SMTP.NOTJUSTBROCCOLI.COM SMTP.NOTJUSTBROCCOLI.COM.NETSOLMAIL.NET.thanks,

You have two CNAME’s and while I finally got my email working with my old host some of your info looks confusing – WordPress.COM does use a bit different format than some other hosts – I had to get some help from the Staff and they were great – so my best advice is to ask the Staff for help on this one.
