Getting my domain back

  Hi there, my domain appears to have expired and I’d like to get it back. The web address was http://www.writtenoff.net. Please could you advise how I can do this? I would appreciate it if you could contact me on (email visible only to moderators and staff) to let me know how. Best, Tom

  Hello Tom,

  That domain expired on 21 August, yes, and has already been removed from your account. It will soon enter redemption at our domain provider. You can find more details on the expiration process here:

  I’m sending you a link to pay for the domain’s renewal. I’m sending it to the email address connected to your WordPress.com account. The Yahoo address you gave above is not associated with your account, so we cannot use that email to help you with this.

  Once we receive your payment we can request our domain provider to restore the domain.

  Hopefully we’ll be in time to get it back before it enters redemption, but if we’re not, there will be an additional $80 fee to get the domain back. We’ll only know for sure if that’s needed once we’ve contacted our domain provider.

  The sooner we receive your payment and contact our domain provider, the better the chances that we can get back the domain before it enters redemption.
