Getting my free.fr domaine connected to my site on WordPress.com

Deal all,
I have created my site on WordPress.com and I’m about to buy the premium plan to link it to my own domaine but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to proceed with my domain provider!
The provider in question is free.fr (French) and I know that I’m supposed to update my DNS with the 3 addresses WordPress provides but unfortunately, I have no idea of where to go to even do that. Free doesn’t provide the ability to change the DNS.
Based on Free’s explanations, I’m actually supposed to send my WordPress.com site to my Free.fr domaine via FTP (don’t ask me what that means).
Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Could someone help?

Hi @kaora2484minitransat2021, that sounds really odd!
FTP won’t do anything to help here, though they may be suggesting you create a site and host it with them.
That said, if you own the domain, and they won’t let you point it somewhere else, I’d recommend getting it transferred instead (and we accept many transfers here; here’s how) . You should have control over your domain name.
