getting my posts on other people’s blogs to link to my own blog

Hey everyone, this is probably an easy question for you wordpress veterans, so if someone could just answer it real quick Id appreciate it because I cant seem to figure it out: When I look at other people’s blogs, at their comments, I see that when a fellow wordpress user has commented, you can click their name and it brings you to their blog. However for some reason when I look at the blogs I have commented on, even though my username and picture appear, my username is not a link– clicking it does nothing. How can I change this and make it a link to my own blog? Thanks. Basically I want more people viewing my blog– but I guess thats a separate question.

Dashboard -> Users -> Your Profile -> Website slot. It’s a URL so be sure to include the ‘http://’ bit.

    Hope this helps,

thanks mike for answering so quickly. i did what you said but it still hasnt changed… unless perhaps it only affects new posts? here’s the example of my comment on someone else’s blog:

    Lost in the Margins

see where i commented? now, i want it so that my username, dannyrobs, can be clicked and it brings you to my blog. but that still doesnt seem to be happening… unless the idea is just that it wont affect old comments, and now if i do comment somewhere, it will work?

Probably the change would only affect newer comments, yes. That information is stored at the comment is made. I can’t see the software going back though and changing previous comments.

Feel free to try commenting on my test blog to see what occurs:
