Getting my username or nickname into my posts.
-
How do I get my username or nickname into my posts so others see who the author of the post is. I plan to have multiple authors. Sorry, I could not find the answer to this question in the FAQ or the documentation.
Thanks.

Some blog themes automatically specify authors of posts and some do not. If you feel this is essential and happen to choose a theme that does not provide this automatically you have two options.
You can simply create a Category (Parent) called Authors and then sub-categories under each author’s name. Alternatively, you can have each author include a “byline” in all of their posts.
Here’s a link to a review of the themes you can examine to see which features they have http://engtech.wordpress.com/tools/wordpress/wordpress-theme-reviews/The FAQs blog is chock full of very useful information. I used the search box there and found two threads I believe you will find relevant
http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/12/what-are-the-different-roles/
http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/17/how-do-i-add-more-authors-users-to-my-blog/Mark, our Support Maven’s advice is:
Be careful what roles you give people, especially if you want them to be an Editor or joint Administrator. Promoting someone is easy – removing a role is much harder.
(1) Each person that you create a role on your blog must become registered with wordpress but they do not need to develop their own blog.
(2) You have not indicated if you wish the blog to be “private” or not so just to show you the possibilities here’s another thread http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/23/feeds-and-password-protected-blogs/
I hope the links I’ve provided will provide answers to your questions but if they don’t please feel free to post again after you have used the forum search box. :)

Awesome, thanks for the quick response! I’ll check all this out and let you know if I have any additional questions. I’m hoping there is something (maybe a CSS tag?) I can use in the stylesheet to add the username/nickname to the posts.

*whistle* You posted in the support forum and now you toss in a css blah, blah, blah …sheesh … *lol* :D
If you wind up upgrading and needing support for customizing your css from other bloggers (there is no staff support for css customization, then please be sure to post to the css customization forum, okay? Good luck and happy blogging. :)
