Getting my websites under one WordPress account
-
Hi, I have another website – http://grandnationaltrends.co.uk/ which doesn’t seemed to be linked to my main WordPress account. It’s possible it’s linked to another WP account but I have no details of this and can’t recall if I did or not. Is there a way to find out which WP account this website is linked to and to then transfer it so all my websites are under one WP account?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi –
You can transfer the site between WordPress.com accounts. Here’s how: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
To initiate the transfer, you will need to be logged into the correct account. This is the user account that originally registered the domain.
Log into all of your WordPress.com accounts. Locate the ‘my sites’ link in the upper left corner of the screen. All of the sites associated with the user account that you are logged into will be listed. Once you find the site you are looking for you can transfer it to the user account you wish it to be associated with.

Hi, many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I’m struggling to locate the WP account that is linked to the website mentioned above – this is the nub of my problem. Is there anywhere within my WP dashboard and/or other means of locating the old account so I can perform the transfer?

The only way for you to gain access to that account is by going through Account Recovery.
The domain was registered through http://www.publicdomainregistry.com So you may be able to login there and you possibly used the same email address to set up http://grandnationaltrends.co.uk/

http://grandnationaltrends.co.uk/ Is not a WordPress.com site.
The name servers for http://grandnationaltrends.co.uk/ are not pointed to WordPress.com. See below.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to look into this but I don’t know what you mean or what the significance of your last post is though. I manage the website in WordPress. I use the WordPress app to update it as well.
I also have another website linked to my WordPress website which wasn’t bought via WordPress.com either. My other website is hosted via 123 reg. Is this significant? Do I need to move my hosting? Please can clarify what I need to do?
Many thanks,
Neil. -
Neilb1973 – WordPress.com is separate and unrelated to WordPress.org. WordPress.org is what you install onto your computer to build your site, those sites are also self hosted. All of the sites built here at WordPress.com are hosted here.
You can read more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
The name servers for your site are through https://www.tppwholesale.com.au/
For help with your self hosted site http://grandnationaltrends.co.uk/ please visit WordPress.org support at http://wordpress.org/support/
If you would like, I can look up your other domain and let you know which version of WordPress it is using, just share it here.
