Getting password

So, apparently I have another account of wordpress. Surprise to me. It holds a name which i wanted. Boohoo. I wanted to delete that blog anyway, because it is embarrassing and I’m afraid people have accessed it. But I forgot the password.
My Yahoo! mail is getting trouble, I can’t access it mail page but I can access every feature. Resulting in I can’t into the mail–retrieving my new password when I hit the ‘reset my password’ button on wordpress.
Is there any way I can retrieve/reset the password? I need it. It’s an quite old blog, 4-5 years old. And I hope I don’t forget the infos that I inserted. Does wordpress will help me to get the password? I want to try the phpmyadmin-thingy though, but i don’t understand it :(
