getting rid of automatic text in header

  hi:) i’m new here, just started this blog. and i searched everywhere in the appearance/post/page customization menus, but i couldn’t find how to get rid of this annoying message in the header:

  “Hey there! Thanks for dropping by Instant Blah – Just Add Water! Take a look around and grab the RSS feed to stay updated. See you around!”

  i’d never write something like this, this is definitely NOT me, plus it completely soils the top of the page! so please, can you tell me how to get rid of it? or at least overwrite it..

  it’s double, i had browser/provider issues, page didn’t load, didn’t see post had passed until i checked my mail
