Getting rid of blocks

  I suppose these forums are a community and aren’t looked at by WordPress officials, but can I just vent my frustration, annoyance and even anger at these stupid “blocks” that infest WordPress these days?

  Wordpress used to be so elegant and easy to use, now it’s been “dumbed down” so much that it makes it very difficult.

  It was okay when WordPress didn’t automatically update blogs to this crap, I only had one effected, but now they’re all like this.

  Yes, I know I can go back to the “Classic editor” – but I wonder how many poor souls start up with WordPress and look at this crap and wonder why the heck it’s so hard?

  Why did WordPress break something that was perfect the way it was?

  I’m afraid my feedback is that it sucks. It’s unneccessary and cumbersome.

  Cumbersome – that’s my chief complaint.

  I assume it was done because GoDaddy and Wiz site builders use blocks, but they’re just stupid! People who only want to make one page use them, not someone doing sophisticated stuff!

  I can’t believe other people haven’t complained and begged you to get rid of blocks entirely!

  Sorry for the rant, but it’s just annoying.

  But, I will continue to use the Classic editor. Please never, never take that away!

  My Classic-Editor is gone yet. You are forced to change.
