getting rid of featured update image???

  I put in an image on featured update on my new posts page. (months ago) I can not find out how to get rid of it even though I have deleted it off of my media.

  Have any suggestions?

  Go to Appearance > Widgets, open the Homepage Feature Widget Area, edit or remove the Image widget you’ve added.
