getting rid of photo 'frame' with Chateau theme

  • Unknown's avatar

    I have no problem posting photos and in the draft they look fine but when they publish, there is a frame around them that makes them stand out from the post, whereas I’d like them to appear flat on the page as a part of the post. Is this possible with Chateau or any of the free theme designs?
    Many thanks,
    Sarah

    Hello!

    I’m not familiar with that particular theme’s options, but if you have access to the CSS, you can update .post-entry class with the following;

    .post-entry img {
        /* border: 1px solid; */
        /* border-color: #ddd #ccc #ccc #ddd; */
        height: auto;
        left: -4px;
        max-width: 100%;
        padding: 3px;
        position: relative;
        /*-moz-box-shadow: 4px 4px 12px #ccc; */
        /* -webkit-box-shadow: 4px 4px 12px #ccc; */
        /* box-shadow: 4px 4px 12px #ccc; */
    }

    Hope that helps!

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply.

    I can add html, but I do not have access to the CSS.

    Would you know if there are any free themes that allow access to CSS?

    Thanks,
    Sarah

    Hi,

    To access CSS, you’ll need either a WordPress.com Premium or Business account.

    You can find info regarding those plans here.

    Other than that, you may be able to find a free theme that’s more to your liking. Happy hunting!

    Thanks, I will take a look and see what my budget will allow.
