Getting Rid of Pop up
-
I added MailChimp to my site with the help of my daughter. We added an email pop up and then realized that MailChimp wasn’t going to meet my needs. I deleted the MailChimp plugin but I didn’t deactivate it. So, I am still getting the email pop up on my site. I would like to get rid of the pop up. I would appreciate any help to resolve this issue.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Tools>Marketing>Connections
You can disconnect your blog from MailChimp in this settings menu. That should disable the pop-up.

Thanks for the response.
When I go to tools “Marketing” isn’t an option. The options that are available are tools, advertising, import, export, site health, export personal data, erase personal data. Please let me know if one of those other options would work or if there is another way to resolve the issue.
Thanks

I’m sorry, but it doesn’t look like you are using WordPress.com for your hosting, so your Dashboard and settings won’t be the same as other users here on this platform.
Your site is showing Cloudflare as your host provider. You can get support for self-hosted blogs on the WordPress.org forums or by contacting your service provider.

I am a little confused. I have a WordPress site. I have never heard of Cloudflare and have never signed up for anything with Cloudflare. All my emails that I receive are from WordPress. What am I missing?
-
Perhaps I was mistaken, I have pinged the mod for support.
I was going off of the data provided by your web address which lists Cloudflare as the host. https://wordpress.com/site-profiler/http://travelwidstom.com

I have a message in my WordPress app about Google domains being sold to Squarespace and I should transfer my domains to WordPress. I just always thought that my site was already in WordPress.
Also, I checked my activity in my account. It is showing that the two MailChimp plugins that I had were both deactivated before I deleted them. I also took out some code from my one header from MailChimp. The popup is still showing up.

It is quite confusing, you are not alone in that. Probably half of all the posts in the forum are from users with self-hosted sites.
The WordPress software is free and open-source, and so many companies offer hosting for blogs using that software.
Whether you use WordPress.com hosting or some other service provider, they refer to themselves as “WordPress,” but all are separate entities.
WordPress.org provides support for individuals running self-hosted sites. These forums provide support to individuals with WordPress.com-hosted sites.
A member of staff will be better able to explain the differences.

I did figure out that my hosting site is Bluehost. The thing is I don’t have a WordPress.org account but I do have a WordPress.com account. I don’t sign in through WordPress.org.

To get support at the .org forums (which is the appropriate point of contact for self-hosted WordPress sites) you will need to create a free account. You can do that here: https://login.wordpress.org/register
You will then be able to post for help here: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
You are also welcome to migrate your site from it’s current host to our managed hosting on WordPress.com. The advantage in doing so is that support is included on WordPress.com , whereas most other providers (like Bluehost) do not offer in-house support and instead ask you to find help elsewhere.
You can move by using our migration plugin, as explained here:
Use the Move to WordPress.com plugin to migrate a self-hosted WordPress site to WordPress.com. Follow the steps in this guide to import your site (including your content, media, plugins, and theme) directly from your wp-admin dashboard.Prerequisites
To follow the steps in this guide, you will need:
Your source site: a WordPress site with any other hosting provider (referred to as a se
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
