Getting rid of the author bio on blog posts

    Hello. I just felt confident enough to start doing something with my blog. However, I’ve noticed something awful that I do not know how to change. I do not like that my ‘about me’ information is being shown right up under my blog posts. I do not know how to change it. I also don’t know how to remove time date stamps. I’m coming from Patreon and am having to move my content piece by piece manually. I don’t want it my over 100 posts to have the same date. That’s why I only have two blog posts here. I hope the only way for me to remove this is buying something so I can use plugins. Please have a look at my site and let me know if anything can be done. Thank you.     Hi Southernbroomcloset,

    I just had a look at your site and I don’t see the author bio you were trying to remove – has this been resolved?

    If you’d like to remove the time/date stamps on the blog posts you can change that from your theme settings.

    Go to :

    My Site > Customize > Content Options > Post Details

    You will see options to uncheck Display Date, Display Author etc. Unchecking these options will remove them from your blog posts.

    Hi there, the author bio appears underneath each blog post in the Scratchpad theme. Here’s an example from the demo site https://scratchpaddemo.wordpress.com/2016/04/06/coffee-oclock/

    Unfortunately it doesn’t appear that Scratchpad has an option to hide that under Content Options, so if you don’t want your bio to appear under your blog posts, you will need to switch to a different theme that either has no author bio or has Content Options so you can hide it.

    If you want suggestions for a different theme, please let us know what attracted you to Scratchpad.

    @eileenchoi… No, it hasn’t been resolved, but I do know the reason why now. It’s just because of the type of theme I chose. It doesn’t come with the option to remove the author bio. I’ll just have to find a different theme that does. However, regarding the time/date stamp… ugh… That issue is still there. I’m thinking that maybe it doesn’t have that option either.
