Getting rid of the block editor

  Is there any way of reverting back to the simple text editor using html?

  Jetpack: No
  Correct account: Yes

  If you want to use HTML alone, you can use the Custom HTML block. https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/custom-html-block/

  Alternatively, you can use the Classic Editor from the Classic WP Admin dashboard as long as WPcom continues to provide it. When you are in the Classic View, (switch from DEFAULT using the VIEW toggle at the top right of your browser window) look at the top of the Posts or Pages dashboard and you should see a button “Add New Post” that has an arrow on the right. Click the arrow and choose “Classic Editor” That will open the old interface that has a Text Tab for HTML entry.
