Getting rid of the red in the adaptation theme

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello there!
    I recently changed to the Adaptation theme. Even when I changed the color of the theme, I noticed that the red stays around the tags (when you over them) and the links in the menu (when you click on it).
    Is there some magic CSS I’m not aware of?

    Thanks.

  • That’s odd – I saw the red rollover on your tags but opened your Customizer to check something and now the rollover is black, even though I didn’t change anything. Please let me know if everything looks OK now.

    Thanks for replying.

    I changed it. I found an old forum post on the subject.

    I took care of the tag hover color, but the hover red hover color shows up on the post links below a post. I’m sorry if I’m being vague, but if you look at a post.
    And you scroll down to click on another post, the red shows up on as a hover color.
    The red also shows up in the main menu when you click on it.

    I would like to get rid of the red so that the colors match.

    Thanks so much for your time!

    It also shows up in Pingback links too.
    That red is very pervasive!

  • Ah, looks like you’ve been modifying the tag rollover colour with CSS on your side. :) I’ll report this issue to our developers so they can get it fixed up and we’ll keep you posted.

  • Our posts just overlapped! I’ll look at the remaining issue now.

  • Try adding this to make the hovers on pingbacks and post navigation black:

    .comment-body a:hover, .nav-links a:hover {
      color: #000000;
    }

    We’ll keep you posted when this is fixed in the theme itself.

    Wow, that was quick!
    Thank you!

  • Just a heads-up that the colour palettes in Adaption should be more complete now, since our developers have made some tweaks. Thanks again for the report!
