Getting rid of "wordpress" in my blog link title

    Hi,

    My blog title is andieduncan.com, but the word “wordpress” always pops into the middle of the link title (andieduncan.wordpress.com) … how can I get rid of the “wordpress” part?” Thanks!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    It is possible to add a domain to your site that will allow you to use almost any domain you like. This guide explains how you can add a custom domain to your WordPress.com site: http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-a-domain/

    I did notice that the domain andieduncan.com already appears to be taken, but also appears to redirect to andieduncan.wordpress.com when I try to visit it. Is this a domain you already own?

    Hi and thanks … yes, andieduncan.com IS mine, which I’ve intentionally redirected to my blog (andieduncan.wordpress.com). I’d like the final destination to appear as andieduncan.com (without “wordpress”).

    Gotcha, I had hoped that was the case. You can definitely use that domain with your blog here, so that your custom URL replaces the default one we gave you

    This guide explains how you can add a custom domain to your WordPress.com site: http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-a-domain/

    Note that you will also want to remove the redirection that you currently have set up for your domain.

    I also noticed that you have quite a few of the upgrades that are included in our WordPress.com Premium package, and you are paying too much! So what I have done is rolled your separate upgrades into that package. You can confirm this by going to Store>My Upgrades in your site’s dashboard.

    WordPress Premium includes some nice extras, like the ability to customize your design and fonts, as well as use a custom domain (which you will be needing soon) and you can check out everything that is included here: http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/pro-bundle/
