Getting self-hosted site onto WP.com reader feeds and moving followers

    I have a self-hosted site on WP.org that connects into WP.com via Jetpack. I have the free package of Jetpack at present and therefore I believe my posts from the .org site does not appear in the .com feeds. Correct?

    Also, I run another WP.com site where I have been posting the same posts in order to access the WP.com reader feeds.

    So, first question: If I wish to have my .org site’s posts appear directly in the WP.com reader feeds, which Jetpack package do I need to subscribe to?

    Second question. Please advise how I could move my followers (not email subscribers, only followers) from my current .com site (the one I’ve been running separately to access the feeds) to the .org-connected WP.com site after this latter site gains access to the feeds?

    Hi there:

    If you have WordPress.com followers, they will see your posts in the Reader. You can read more about this on the Jetpack site:

    Jetpack

    If you have a paid Jetpack plan, your site’s posts will also appear in the Posts search results for matching search terms.

    Posts from sites with any paid Jetpack plan will also be displayed in Tag pages in the Reader. These are pages which display all posts tagged with a specific term, e.g. https://wordpress.com/tag/cats

    We can’t selectively move a portion of your subscribers – it’s either an all or nothing transfer.
