Getting shares and reocurring readers

I have a new website, it’s only a littleun’ at a week old, but I was wondering if people had thoughts on how to sustain readers and get them to ‘like’ or share it in some way. I know twitter can be a bit of a void, in terms of once you’ve posted it there’s not much you can do in terms of boosting it.
Has anyone got a particular method of how to get more sustainable readers? Not looking for thousands but maybe a couple of hundred in the future.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
