Getting sidebar to show up on blog post page
-
I would like to add my main sidebar from my home page to my blog page. Can you tell me how?
Thank you
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Could you check which page templates are you using for Home page and Blog page?
Also please check which layout are you using from your dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options.
You can get a sidebar on the Blog page by using the same page template you are using on your home page.

Thank you so much. I did check, and the theme option is Sidebar-Sidebar-Content. I changed the blog page template to match the Home page template, but it did not change the appearance. I wonder if it has something to do with cookies or cache, etc.

Could you tell me what is the name of the page template you are using on your home and blog pages?

I’m not sure exactly how to find that. Are you talking about the theme? It says ‘default template’ under my page template on both Home and the Blog. I use Pilcrow theme and under theme options, it’s sidebar-sidebar-content. Sorry, I’m a dummy about WordPress, so I’m not sure how to answer. :)

Page Attributes support document shows where to check for the page template. But I think Default Template is what you are using as template for both of your pages.
Could you expand that Template dropdown and experiment with other templates and see if they help?

Thank you. I tried that, but I couldn’t get it to do what I wanted it to do. I appreciate you trying to help, though. No worries!
