Getting started

  I purchased a domain through another site but I think I want to use wordpress to create my website. When I go through the steps for getting started wordpress wants to bill me for a plan because of the domain I already have but is there a way to try building something to see if I am capable of it before paying for it?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello there,

  At WordPress.com you can most definitely try out a free site (you can use the URL you have linked here waldenwoodworksdotcom.wordpress.com) , build it, and see if it is something you want to invest in further.

  If you are happy with your site, and then want to use the domain that you purchased elsewhere with your new WordPress site, you can certainly do that by upgrading to one of the paid Plan, and then map your custom domain to your WordPress.com site.
