  Hi There, I am having a hard time getting my website started. I have a domain name that I purchased through domain.com when I get to the section about domains it is asking about transferring. Is this something I need to do?

  Hi there!

  You do not need to transfer your domain here, you can map it instead. This will allow you to use it with your WordPress.com site but keep the domain with your current registrar. Here are more details about that:
