  I have a registered domain name. Can I use it with the free version of wp.com to get started? Will I loose it if I migrate to another host?

  You haven’t registerd a domain through us, but you can use the Free plan to host your site.

  Please note that to be able to connect your domain, you’ll need to upgrade to one of our plans.
