  Howdy,
  I want to try setting up a website with WordPress. My Question is:
  1. I want to start with the Free Plan. I see I can do this if I agree to switch to a paid annual plan. It also states: You can claim your free custom domain later if you aren’t ready yet. Do you offer a Free Plan without the stipulation to a paid annual plan?

  Many thanks for reaching out.

  We don’t sell domains on their own – but instead with a plan.

  Please note that it’s only possible to set a custom domain for a site when the site is on a paid plan.
