Getting started

  I recently signed up to WordPress. My husband and I are travelling for seven months in Australia and I want to create a blog of our travels so that friends and family can follow our progress. I want to include text and photos. I have no idea how to get started. Do I have to pay for a “theme”? Where do I find a theme that suits my purpose?

  Since you’ve already started a blog, you might not need the Getting Started or Introduction to WordPress pages. But there are the links, just in case. And no, you don’t have to pay to use WordPress, there are many free themes to chose from. Check out the themes page for directions on how to switch between themes, ie: go Dashbord –> Appearance –> Themes.

  I might pick a simple photography or magazine theme for a vacation blog. Good luck!
