getting started-again

    I had an employee start work on our website several years ago. He has since been long gone, and we had put up a website under construction to our home page to block activity. Today I was given all the logins etc to try to finish our website and of course everything needed updating as versions were very old. I was hoping to just have a look around to see if it was in my wheelhouse to modify the content, but it’s not allowing me to sync my account, instead it seems like I have to start new and pay a monthly fee to use wordpress. I don’t know what to do. Any help is appreciated.
