Getting started with my website

    Hi, I want to create a basic website with order form, customer order database, customer order details. Lots of queries:
    1. How much this will cost me to create such website.
    2. If I want to publish website to my customers, how much it will cost.
    3. What about my customer data privacy?
    4. How does the domain system works?

    1. Will this be an e-commerce website?

    2. If this will be an e-commerce site, how many products will you be selling to begin with? Will the products be physical products (with shipping), or will they be virtual (downloadable)?

    3. Do you have an existing e-commerce website with customer base, or will this be an entirely new venture for you?

    4. Do you already own the domain elsewhere? Or have you not yet purchased the domain for this?

    >>No. It is just for a small business. Just to let customer choose their items and just to show/send them their total items and the bill. Payment not needed.

    >>Entirely new :)

    4. Do you already own the domain elsewhere? Or have you not yet purchased the domain for this?
    >>No. I just need a basic website. to show my items and let customer select theirs, create list, send the list to customers with total bill.
    Can you please let me know which WordPress plan I should go with and the cost.

    1. You could even do that realistically on the free plan, just use a contact form: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/form-block/

    2. There is no limit to the products you can sell under an eCommerce plan.

    3. We take security very seriously here. How you handle your customer’s records beyond that will be up to you: https://wordpress.com/support/security/

    Based on what you’ve described, the free plan will be fine if you’re ok with not having a custom domain.
