I want to remove this site and start again though, with a wordpress.com site so I can learn WordPress. I can’t even find how to remove that site or even how to cancel my account and start again. Everything I click takes me to the site that I don’t want to go to.

Thank you for trying to help, but I think perhaps I’m not making myself clear. Let me try again.
I do not want help with my existing site. I tried last year to build it with WordPress and I failed miserably, so I built it on Adobe’s Behance and hosted the domain with NetRegistry. It is completely independent of any WordPress platform at all and has nothing to do with WordPress in any form. That is a done deal. I do NOT want to edit this site. I do not need WordPress.org for it.
I want to REMOVE this website from my WordPress.com account entirely.
I want to start again on WordPress.com with a new website so that I can follow the tutorials you recommended. I think that means I need to start again.None of the helpful sites you recommend make sense because my panel keeps redirecting me to my nataliezeller.com.au website which had nothing to do with WordPress at all.
Do I need to cancel my account entirely and start again?
If so how do I do that.
Nothing that I click in my WordPress.com account will allow me to remove the site or cancel my account evenPlease I don’t mean to be difficult, but I am quite distressed by this time.

Thanks pavanraheja,
I’ve figured it out!
Thank goodness. I had to create a new site, then switch sites back to the old site then all these options appeared under settings that weren’t there before, which allowed me to disconnect the old site.
Thanks a million for trying to help me! -
