Add topic to favorites
How do I get a widget to get people to subscribe to my blog. I just want something that says, Subscribe to this Blog (something like that). Is that a widget? It seems to be the one big thing I can’t figure out. Pretty please help!

you can add the RSS widget or manually insert a link into a text widget with a link to your RSS feed.
Or if you’re talking about having people subscribe to your posts by e-mail then you can goto feedburner.com and after you set it up you can post a link into the text widget.

You mention feedburner.com as a way to get people to subscribe via e-mail.

I’ve followed the instructions and copy and pasted the code to the text box on my sidebar. However when I save and view, the coding gets truncated. The box or whatever is supposed to be on the page where you enter an e-mail address never appears.

Any advice?

The text box is not allowed on wordpress.COM blogs. The best you can do is goto your feedburner account where it says e-mail subscription towards the bottom of the page it says Subscription Link Code copy that html code and put it in the text widget. When people click on the link it will direct them to a separate page where they enter in their e-mail.
