Getting the featured image to show up in Feedly's RSS reader

I put a lot of images into my blog posts and choose a “featured image” to go at the top of each post. Not sure about the WordPress Reader but the RSS reader I use, Feedly, doesn’t pick up the featured image. Rather it picks another one, somewhat randomly as best I can tell. What can I do to make the featured image be the one that shows up in Feedly’s RSS reader?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi Steve,

Our developers have stated that this is how featured images work on WordPress.com. The featured image isn’t part of the post content, so the feed won’t show it (regardless of the app you use to consume the RSS feed).

If the image is essential to you as part of the feed, it would be better to paste it into the post content instead of using it as a featured image.

Thanks for your response but that’s disappointing to read. If it’s “featured” it should be part of content of the feed. It most certainly is part of the content of the blog as WordPress displays it at the top of my blog, in the blog summary page, and in my slider. Seems like a rather significant omission not to have it follow into the feed as well.

There’s actually been quite a few users who feel the same! This suggestion has been reported back to our developers for review. :) I’ve added your report as well!

If I hear anything about this, I’ll let you know as soon as possible!
