Getting the new site online

    Hi there, we have built a new site and the old site: https://friendsofchapelstreetpark.wordpress.com/
    is down. we want the new site to be at the original domain. https://friendsofchapelstreetpark.wordpress.com/

    I don’t know how I did this but we would like to put the new site on this domain. We are a charity and don’t have the funds to pay for a site so we have not used any of the additional paid features.

    Hi there!

    It looks like you deleted the site friendsofchapelstreetpark.wordpress.com a week ago. We note that when you delete your site, deleting a site permanently removes it, and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address.

    But since it was deleted within our 30-day window, we can recover that for you – which I just did! :)

    Regarding the “new site”, free WordPress.com domains can’t be transferred or swapped between sites.

    If you wish to use the friendsofchapelstreetpark.wordpress.com URL for the site you created at friendsofchapelstreetparkcouk.wordpress.com, you need to move the site’s content from one site to the other using our Export/Import options:

    1. Export the content from friendsofchapelstreetparkcouk.wordpress.com by following the steps in our Export guide.

    2. Import the content into friendsofchapelstreetpark.wordpress.com by following our Import guide.

    You may need to set up your theme customizations again as well.
