Getting two different notices now for comments

  Whenever someone comments on my blog I usually get an email message that starts with “please moderate”….

  Now, when I approve it and perhaps reply to it I receive in my email two more messages that read “New Comments” to etc… One is the original guest comment and the other is my reply to it. What would cause this?

  Hi,
  This is due to comment settings at Discussion Settings > Email me whenever…

  • The “please moderate” email message is the result a check in the box at “A comment is held for moderation.”
  • The “New Comments” messages are the result of a check in the box at “Anyone posts a comment.”

  I use comment moderation for those without a “previously approved comment.” But the “Email me whenever anyone posts a comment” box is left unchecked. So I receive only the moderation notice email messages.

  Thank you so much…was not aware of that page, and not sure how that got checked. On the other hand I am getting more senile by the day.
