Getting "well isn't this embarrassing" on TED talk link
-
Hello. I read the information about posting TED Talk videos, copied the short code from the video, and then put it in a post using the link function. The video shows up on the post, but when I click on it I get the “embarrassing” message. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you!

Sorry, yes, here it is. It is only a draft now, not yet published. Thanks.

We Volunteers cannot view previews of draft posts. We do not have backend access to blogs. Please simply post a link to the video at TED talks and we can work from there

Hum, well the ted id=618 is what I was using and doesn’t work. Then I tried to click on the video in your blog, but it says it is unable to play. Could this have something to do with my computer?

Please note the square brackets are required to create the shortcode. Do not copy and paste. Simply type it exactly the way I present it into your post using either editor. I know it works. I have it on my blog. :)
[ted id=618] -
Yes, I typed it exactly the way you did. That’s the way I had it before as well. It still does not work. As I said above, I also tried to click on the video in your blog, but it says unable to connect. Could this be a problem with my computer? Thanks.

This is the error message I am getting: Unable to play the video specified: http://video.ted.com/talks/embed/DanielPink_2009G-embed_high.flv

You can use the gigya workaround instead. Copy the embed code, keep this part only:
<embed src="ETC ETC ETC ETC"></embed>
and turn it to this:
[gigya src="ETC ETC ETC ETC" ]For more on this see here:
