Getting words to be an active link to other info

Im not sure of the technical words for this so plase bear with me as I try and explain.
Basically I have my thoughts written in a post on a particular subject, i now want to activate certain words eg: efficent : so that when it is clicked on it will show all the research i have done to back up my particular point.

Basically you need to select the word you want to form the link, and then look for an icon in your editor that looks like a pair of chains. Click that and then you can put the address to any of your posts or articles; click insert, and you should be done. This FAQ might help you as well.

thanks. Is it possible do you know to link to other blog entries I have. See it’s quite difficult the best way to go about it. Simply because I am a design student and because i need to back up my thoughts with concrete evidence there might be more than one piece of eveidnce to support or not support or not my eveidence and im thinking what id the best way i can set this up on worpress to make gathering and accessing all In eed with as little effort as possible.

Yes, it’s basically the same thing. The first thing is to find the blog entry you want to link to. Click on it and you should see the address at the top of your browser; click that and copy it. Then just follow the instructions before, and paste that address into the window when you click the chain icon. Click insert and once the post is saved, clicking the highlighted word should take you straight to that post. It’ll also work for sites off WordPress you might want to link to (somewhere like Wikipedia for example).
Going to Dashboard > Manage > Posts will also let you sort through your posts by category and month, so you might find that a useful way of finding what you want. I hope that helps. ill try it and see what happens HA. It does make sense although it is hard to describe when im not sure what im describing. Ithink at the end of the day as long as i can access all that i need with ease all is well. Thanks again for your help.
