Gettting security certificate and secure/non secure dialog boxes

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi all,
When I first log on, I’m getting a dialog boxes for security certificate (To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has blocked this website from displaying conent with security certificte errors.).

More annoyingly, on that first page and every page change thereafter is also a pop-up that says ‘This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display the non secure items?’ It appears to be the Random Blog arrow image.

I searched and didn’t see fixes for either. I’m on IE6 and Windows XP Pro if that helps.

    Thanks,
    Paul — crossderry.wordpress.com

Heather (staff) tells of how to get the dialogs to not show up.

One thing I might suggest is to upgrade to IE7. IE6 has a number of issues with wordpress you very well might run into. Firefox 3 would be even better when it comes to working with wordpress.

    Just a suggestion.

Thanks, the fix doesn’t work now but I have a feeling I may need to do the cookie dance or give my machine the three-fingered salute :-(

Also, this is a corporate laptop, so I’ll be upgraded when they’re good and ready to do so!

    Thanks again…

Ah yes, the corporate laptop thing. I’ve been there.
