Getty Images Optimized for Mobile Platforms?
-
We used embeddable Getty images for the first time in a post today on RunningOnSober.com. They look great, but when we view the post on a mobile device (iPhone, specifically), the Getty photos do not adjust to the smaller screen size. The text ends up in a small column, while the image takes up the entire horizontal space.
Is this an issue with our theme? (We use Twenty Twelve.) Or is it a code issue or Getty image restriction?
I read and comment via my mobile device almost exclusively. Is there an (extremely) easy fix for optimized mobile viewing?
Thanks for your help, Christy (RunningOnSober.com)

Hello,
It looks like you’re specifying a width in your getty shortcodes. The width you’re specifying is larger than the mobile display, causing your device to scale the surrounding web page so that it can display the getty image (making the rest of the page seem smaller by comparison)
It might be best to leave out a height/width and use Custom CSS to style the generated iFrames for mobile and desktop separately. I suspect you could find help on the CSS Forums.
Cheers!

Just a heads-up for anyone with the same question, according to Getty faq:
Can I change the size of an embedded image?
No. Getty Images’ photos that you embed on a site cannot be resized. If you want a different file size, you will need to license the image for the size you want. To do so, go to gettyimages.com to view the available file sizes and pricing options for the image you want to license.
