ghost “home” tab
-
Hi;
I seem to have created a GHOST “Home” tab on my site. My Pages editor does not show the ghost/duplicate. When I try the fixes (from the forums) they do manipulate the pages accordingly, but the “Home” tab stays put. Also, my Home Page in the Page Editor will not allow me to change it’s ranking (so I can’t move it from the leading position, where I want the Posts to show) nor change it from Parent to child. I have also tried to hide the Home page, again, to no avail, it’s just that stubborn.
I would appreciate your help greatly.
Many Thanks (I’ll be out for a few hours and so, not available).

It’s not a “ghost/duplicate”: it’s the original built-in home tab. You can’t find it under Pages>Edit because it’s not a static page such as those you create: it’s just a link to your blog front.
For the solution see here (second note):

Thank you – that has made the page disappear. I got confused because the screenprint in the solution show’s the Parent selection as “main page no parent” so I kept making that selection. Only now have I changed the Parent selection to my “Posts” page. Thank you again! Now I’m going to work on getting the “Posts” page to be the first page…
