GIF only activates when I click on the article link
-
Hello,
I uploaded a gif image to one of the posts on my blog, but it appears motionless (I only see the first frame of the gif as a regular image). However, when I click on the link that takes me to a specific blog article, the gif activates the way it should. Do you know how I could make my gif image appear active on my blog homepage (rather than only showing the first frame of the gif)?Thank you,

Hi Stephanie,
The Gridspace theme you are using automatically resizes and crops images to display them on the front page of your blog. When an animated GIF is resized like that, only the first frame will be shown. However, as you mentioned, visitors will be able to see the animation when they click through to the article.
Since the resizing is part of how your blog’s theme works, you could customize it to allow the animated GIF to work by using the Custom Design upgrade. Please let me know if you have any questions about that!
