GIFS no longer work on my blog

  3 days ago, all gifs that I paste into my blog, will not work. Please tell me what happened and what I can do to restore my ability to use GIFS

  Hi, I just spot-checked a few posts, and the gifs I see are all working properly.

  Can you link to a post that isn’t working for you?

  Thanks! I tried that image on a test site.

  These options worked:
  – copying the image url & pasting it on its own line
  – typing /image and using “insert from url”
  – saving the image, and dragging it into the editor window

  This didn’t work:
  – copying the image itself and pasting into the post

  Can you let us know which option you’re using?

  Hello
  I click copy image and then paste in wordpress blog. This si the way I have done it for years. So if something has changed, can you please let me know. I appreciate your assistance and time

  I will now try to copy url. I did try putting it in editor but maybe I was doing that wrong as it went into like my gallery? Anyway..why did it work for so many years and then just days ago, it stopped? I thank you

  Hi there,

  If something has changed, it has changed on Pinterest’s end, not ours, as that’s where you’re copying from. I can confirm if you select “Copy Image” via the right-click menu on Pinterest, that gives a link to a PNG file, not a GIF file. But I can’t say whether something about this recently changed at Pinterest.

  I did try putting it in editor but maybe I was doing that wrong as it went into like my gallery?

  If you insert an image via URL, the media library will import that image from the source, so the image file goes to the library, same as if you uploaded the actual image file directly.
