  I’d like to buy someone a domain name for their wordpress.com blog. What would you recommend I do?

  Hi there,

  If you are looking to purchase someone a domain name for their blog, we recommend that you do so from within their username and that you specifically not set the domain to auto-renew.

  That way your account will not be charged again next year, but they will have access to renew it again themselves. If you purchase it for them in your own username, you will always have to renew it as they will not have access.
